Noosa - Australia
Noosa in Australia is situated on the southern coast of Laguna Bay, about 140 km
north of Brisbane and has a population of 35,000. It sits within a beautiful
headland with the mouth of the Noosa river west of the town, a stretch of beach
to the east and Noosa National Park covering the headland itself. It is an area
where many of the celebrities have a vacation home.
The headlands and cliffs in the National Park rise up to 200m overlooking sheltered bays with spectacular ocean views. The park also consists of high dunes and coastal heath along with different types of grasslands and scrub, forest and rainforests. Almost 13 different plant communities have been defined in this area. The tropical ambience, sparkling waters, pristine beaches, scenic hinterland and lush rain forests make Noosa a popular travel and tourist destination in Australia.
Tourism Activities:
Noosa is also popular with the surfing fraternity for almost 40 years. Different types of water sports are pursued upon the river and its creeks, some of them are - windsurfing, kayaking, jet seeing or you could rent a boat or just go fishing. You could also spend a day hiking in the Noosa National Park. Various walking trails are here, such as the palm grove route and the coastal route. You might be able to see Koalas clinging to the eucalyptus, the main attraction of the park is the 121 different species of birds that have their home here.
