Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark located on the
eastern shore of Zealand island and partly on the Amager island and is a great place to enjoy Denmark
tourism, culture and history. Copenhagen is the
largest city of Denmark and consists of a number of
suburbs, boroughs and commercial areas. It is generally known as
a low city with its old beautiful buildings, often called as the cultural capital of Europe, but in
the comming years there are plans to build many

is located on the Oresund strait and is just minutes away
from Sweden by train. Copenhagen is not only known for

the world.
Copenhagen is one of the most bicycle-friendly cities
in the world, with about one third of people commuting to
work by bicycle. Copenhagen and the surrounding
regions have 3 sandy beaches spanning over an area of
8km, and located within just half-hour bicycling from
the city centre. Copenhagen has a very well
established transportation infrastructure including
roads, railways, airports and harbours. The S-Train
also connects almost all the suburbs of Copenhagen.
The harbour of Copenhagen is a major cruise
destination, considered one of the best in Europe. Kastrup Airport (IATA: CPH) or the Copenhagen Airport
is also one of the best airports in the world and
usually quite busy.
Apart from Copenhagen tourism, it is also famous for a wide variety of sport teams including cricket, ice hockey, handball and football league. Every summer the Copenhagen Jazz Festival is held in early July for 10 days and draws musicians from all over the world. In the evenings, free street entertainment can be enjoyed along Strøget, which includes musicians, jugglers, artists, magicians, and other performers.
Popular regions of Copenhagen tourism are - Indre By is the inner city of Copenhagen and has many historic buildings and churches. Popular landmarks include Amalienborg (Royal Castle), The botanical garden, several Museums and Kongen Have (Kings Garden). Other areas include Christianshavn, Kastellet, Holmen, Veste, Frederiksberg, Nørrebro (The most vibrant part of Copenhagen), Østerbro, North West and Vanløse.
