TRANSPORTATION TIPS:
There are several taxis, buses and charter services. Most hotels have a travel desk which you can refer to for most needs. There are shuttles available from hotel to the airport and vice versa. You can also rent a car for transportation, you will find a lot of rental car offices at the airport and on the Strip. Free valet parking is available in most of the good hotels, but its recommended to tip a couple of dollars when your car is retrieved.

Fremont Street Area Transportation:
Either park in the hotel or casino where you are traveling to, otherwise you can use parking garages.

The Strip -  Transportation:
The Deuce: A colorful Double Decker bus stopping on popular hotels/resorts. It also goes to downtown and Fremont Street Experience. As of 2007 the fare was $5 for 24 hr pass.

Monorail Transportation: Runs from Sahara Avenue ( close to Stratosphere Hotel) till Tropicana Avenue (close to Mandalay Bay).

There are additional free trams for transportation, one operating between Treasure island and Mirage, second one between Mandalay Bay, Excalibur and Luxor.

TRAVEL TIPS:
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes especially when you are on a short trip and going to walk to see a lot of places. Never cheat in casinos, the gaming theft rules of Vegas are very strict. Most casinos restrict using cell phones when playing. Drink water frequently and carry water especially in the summer months as Vegas is in desert. Take care of your purse and gaming chips. There may be people under the influence of alcohol so avoid argument and contact hotel staff or local authorities if needed. Smoking is usually permitted in the casino floor but mostly not in restaurants, better check before lighting up the cigarette.

Tip of the day
Tip 18#. If your current suitcase or bag is old, buy a new one. Buy a strong one. Last thing you want is the handle to break off or the suitcase to break and your belongings falling all over the place.
