Libya's main tourist attractions are its rich
archaeological Greek and Roman ruins, pleasant climate and beautiful beaches.
Libya travel has been limited in the past because for decades there were U.N.
sanctions on air services to Libya. Even though there was no airline operating in
Libya, the daring and adventurous tourists had been going there by road to see
the magnificent Greek and Roman ruins. However, in today's time, the UN
sanctions have been lifted and the European airlines has started direct flights
to the capital city of Tripoli along with the city of Benghazi making Libya
travel more convenient. Libya's beauty
and diversity are still relatively unknown and, as a result, the country remains
largely un-spoilt by tourism. Libya is in the continent of Africa.
