Mali tourism MapIt is the 7th largest country of Africa and one of the poorest in the world. It is bordered by Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania, Algeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, and the Côte d'Ivoire. Most of the population lives in the country's south and features the Niger and Senegal rivers which is also the most fertile region. Mali gained independence from France on 22 September 1960. There's plenty of great crafts in Mali including silver and leather goods including jewellery, daggers, spears, swords and boxes which are also good shopping items to buy during your Mali tourism. The very best time to visit Mali is between November and January, before the heat hits in March and after the wet humid season.

Bandiagara - Land of Dogon Tribes
It is a stunning sandy plateau located in Mali in western Africa, It is famous for its sandstone cliffs which rise 500 meters, traditional mask and rituals and ancient rock art sites and a popular Mali tourism site.

Djenne
It has a significant importance as an important regional trade center. The Great Mosque of Djenne is the largest mud-brick structure ever built and has a unique Muslim architecture.
