CANCUN - Beach paradise:
Cancun is among the most popular tourist attractions in Mexico. It is located by the Caribbean Sea on the Yucatan peninsula (South East Mexico). It is the capital of Mexico and the most important industrial and cultural center of the country. It is the second largest metropolitan area in the world with about 9 million inhabitants. It is a modern, cosmopolitan city situated in an old lake basin surrounded by volcanic mountains and sits at an elevation of 7400 ft. It is also very famous for its pre-Hispanic remains of the civilizations, which lived here before the three-decade Spanish rule. The Aztecs who settled in this area founded it in 1325 and they later built temples, pyramids, and buildings. You will also see the murals of Diego Rivera and the paintings of Frida Kahlo. It is also here in Mexico, where you can find the famous church where an Indian had claimed to seen the Virgin of Guadalupe in the year 1531. It is the most popular religious icon in whole Mexico. However, Mexico City is not just for historical buff, it also offers contemporary city life. The world-class museums and restaurants can perfectly rub shoulders with other several old and new cultures. It is a great place to mix history, shopping and nightlife.
ACAPULCO - Romantic Resorts:
Acapulco, a C-shaped bay is one of the most beautiful and popular tourist attractions in the Mexican Pacific. It is also a major seaport and a popular resort for tourists taking long holiday weekends and cruises from the United States, the Mexican interior and countries in South America. With stunning beaches, exuberant natural surroundings and wonderful climate, this port has been dubbed the Pearl of the Pacific. The modern infrastructure has had very little impact on its original beauty or attractions. Acapulco offers an enormous range of attractions and activities. Calm has sunny beaches and major hotel complexes, superb restaurants and wonderful nightclubs. The Nahua Indians, the Aztecs predecessors, lived in Acapulco around 3000 BC. Even though it is an upscale tourist location, Acapulco is still more reasonably priced than Cancun. During the day, you can have your perfect tan under the sun in great Acapulco beaches. You would not be hungry with so many restaurants around. However, do not skip siesta in Acapulco because you may need all the sleep and energy that you may need for all the dancing from midnight till dawn. The nightlife is very much alive in Acapulco. There are several nightclubs around that you can definitely do your bar hopping.
TIJUANA - Gateway to Mexico:
Tijuana is the largest city in the Mexican state of Baja California and the world's most-visited border town. This US-Mexico border city is just south of San Diego, California, in fact, you can make a round trip from San Diego in just one day. Many foreigners travel here to drink and dance, buy prescription drugs, bootleg brand-name clothing and accessories. If you are looking for other activities in Tijuana, you may not find their beaches a good one since mostly are foggy all year round but there are other things to do here. You may visit their bullring. Bullfighting is something that is done here mostly every Sunday. In fact, this is where the only seaside bullring may be found. Likewise, Tijuana is a great place for leather goods, Cuban cigars and souvenirs like silver bracelets and traditional medicine. Bargaining is common in this place. The Zona Norte is also the place where tourists, locals and American military meet and enjoy. This can be a rowdy and dangerous area for some so it is best to keep an identification card with you especially if you are a tourist.
It is located some 120 kilometers (68 miles) south of the border with the United States in Baja Peninsula and often tourists go there by car. Ensenada is very famous for short cruise ship trips from the Los Angeles area. Californians troop to Ensenada to enjoy its seaport town and to rest and relax while enjoying recreation activities. Wine tasting is one of recreational activities here. Wine tasting is being offered in several vineyards in a serene setting. However, if you are looking for nightlife, you can enjoy the atmosphere in Papas and Beer and Hussong’s Cantina, where the atmosphere is always in party mood as lots of tequila is served. Cabo San Lucas:
It is a popular tourist attraction in Baja California. Here in Cabo, you may enjoy the Sea of Cortez as well as the crashing waves of the Cabo’s Pacific. Cabo’s water is a great place for excellent outdoor sports like diving, kayaking and big game fishing while the other side offers relaxing beach waters. You can choose which side of Cabo’s water you prefer. Aside from water, the nightlife is also active here. Kids will definitely enjoy the Cabo dolphins since these dolphins are house in a state of the art facility where they show of their talents.
Cozumel Island is very famous tourism destination in the Caribbean Sea located 20 km (12 miles) from mainland in the Yucatan Peninsula. It is a busy island in the coast of Playa Del Carmen. Most of the visitors of the island are from Mexico who enters the island through cruise ships. There are no large ships here but there are small shops that can offer everything that you may want. As a tourist here, you have to visit the Palancar Reef. Palancar reef is a must see since the coral reefs here are really breathtakingly beautiful.
